GOVERNOR BALA MOHAMMED HONOURS THE LEGACY OF LATE MALAM HUSSAINI YUSUF (BABAN LAFIYA), A BEACON OF ISLAMIC SCHOLARSHIP IN YALWAN DUGURI.

Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed of Bauchi State has paid a heartfelt condolence visit to Yalwan Duguri, where he joined the community in mourning the passing of the revered Islamic scholar, Malam Hussaini Yusuf, popularly known as Baban Lafiya.

Leading a high-powered delegation, the Governor described the late cleric as a man of deep faith, wisdom, and unwavering commitment to moral and educational upliftment. He noted that Malam Hussaini Yusuf’s contributions to the propagation of Islamic knowledge and the moral upbringing of generations would remain a lasting legacy in the hearts of his people.

Governor Bala Mohammed lauded the deceased for his selfless devotion to community service, particularly in guiding the youth and promoting peaceful coexistence among residents. He prayed to Almighty Allah to forgive his shortcomings, grant him eternal rest in Al Jannatul Firdaus, and console the family and the entire Yalwan Duguri community over the great loss.

Speaking on behalf of the bereaved family, Engineer Salmamu Mohammed, the Tafidan Duguri, expressed deep gratitude to the Governor and his entourage for the gesture of empathy. He said the family and the community were comforted by the Governor’s presence and his reassuring words, which reflected his humility and humanity.

Special prayers were offered during the visit for the repose of the soul of the late scholar, with clerics and community members invoking Allah’s mercy upon him and blessings upon his family.

Governor Bala Mohammed’s visit once again underscored his enduring connection to his people and his commitment to standing with them in moments of joy and sorrow alike.
