THE GOVERNOR OF BAUCHI IS SET TO RENOVATE FACILITIES AT THE STATE NYSC ORIENTATION CAMP WAILO

As part of his sincere commitment to ensuring the welfare and well-being of the corps members by providing them with a conducive environment for the orientation program, Sen. Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed CON Kauran Bauchi, the executive governor of Bauchi State, has reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to upgrading and changing the state’s NYSC orientation camp’s buildings and amenities.

Speaking at the closing ceremony and terminal parade of the 2023 Batch ‘C’ Stream I orientation course at the state NYSC orientation camp in Wailo, Governor Bala Mohammed who was represented by His Deputy Rt. Hon Mohammed Auwal Jatau stated that the orientation course has sufficiently prepared the corps members for the demands of national service where he tasked the NYSC corps members to ensure the realization of the objectives of the Scheme so that the vision of its founding fathers for a united, developed and egalitarian society will be continuously realized.

He directed them to take the skills to their various primary assignment locations and hone them during the National Service period to become self-employed, noting that the various skill acquisition programs they were exposed to during the orientation exercise are intended to make them creators rather than job seekers.

With its emphasis on youth development, the state government of Bauchi State has put in place robust measures for the welfare and security of its corps members, which the governor told them would make their service year enjoyable and unforgettable.

He stated that the National Service offered the corps members a chance to enhance and have a beneficial impact on their host communities; therefore, they should prioritize the interests of the country over all other concerns.

Governor Bala Mohammed thanked all of the camp officials for their dedication and sense of duty, which contributed to the success of the orientation exercise, while also praising the National Youth Service Corps in Bauchi for the beneficial contributions it has been making to the state’s development.

Sales Gamawa, the state’s chairman of the NYSC Governing Board and the state’s State Commissioner of Youth and Sports, urged the corps members to return the state government’s investment in their welfare and well-being by aiding it in carrying out its developmental policies and initiatives.

During the orientation course, the corps members have demonstrated a high level of maturity, according to Daniel Yakubu, the state’s NYSC coordinator. Yakubu also thanked Governor Bala Mohammed for giving the corps members’ welfare and well-being top priority.
