A devastating fire outbreak has ravaged the Bauchi State Agricultural Development Project (BSADP) office in Nabordo, Toro Local Government Area, Bauchi State. The incident occurred at approximately 8:30 pm, and the cause of the fire remains unknown.
The Commissioner for Agriculture, Hon. Iliyasu Gital, visited the scene to assess the damage. He expressed his disappointment and concern over the incident, directing that a thorough investigation be conducted to determine the cause of the fire. The commissioner assured the staff that alternative arrangements would be made to ensure the continuation of work.
Hon. Iliyasu Gital ordered the immediate repair of the damaged office, including the doors, windows, and electrical system. He directed the staff to submit a detailed report of the damage for prompt action. The commissioner also instructed that the office be cleaned and restored to operational status as soon as possible.
The commissioner emphasized that anyone found responsible for the fire would face consequences. He assured the staff that a thorough investigation would be conducted to determine the cause of the fire and to identify those responsible.
Despite the setback, Hon. Iliyasu Gital expressed his commitment to ensuring that the project continues uninterrupted. He directed that arrangements be made to provide alternative office space for the staff to continue their work while repairs are underway.
